Shelly Sandzer to sell 12 Food & Drink Group sites

Property agent Shelly Sandzer has been appointed to sell the remaining 12 Food & Drink Group (FDG) outlets.

Sites include Henry J Beans in Bristol

FDG went in to administration last week after 17 sites were sold to private equity firm Mainpaint headed by Nick Tamblyn. BDO Stoy Hayward is the company’s administrator.

A spokesman for the board of FDG said last week it had faced “the most challenging economic conditions for decades”.

The 12 remaining sites include the Jamie’s Bar on Charlotte Street in London and a number of Puzzle bars primarily in locations around the City of London and the West End.

Shelley Sandzer will also handle the sale of the Henry J Beans unit in Bristol and the Breakfast Club in Birmingham.

“We believe that there will be considerable interest in the acquisition of the

remaining properties as it’s a rare opportunity to acquire either individual or a cluster of key restaurants and bars in good trading locations,” said Nick Weir of Shelly Sandzer.

“This is particularly the case in London where licensed premises remain hard to come by.”
