Inventive has acquired a former Laurel venue
The venue, which has a rent of £80,000 per annum, was a Yates’s venue at one stage in its history. It is understood there was a good deal of interest in the venue from restaurant operators and a small premium was paid.
Meanwhile, JD Wetherspoon is moving fast to re-open the Laurel sites it bought out of administration. Sites in Weymouth and Oxford are due to open in early August with a Bar Med in Shrewsbury will re-open as Lloyds No 1, called Montgomery’s Tower, on 18 August.
The firm already runs The Shrewsbury Hotel – and a third JD Wetherspoon site is planned to be opened in the Pride Hill Shopping Centre next year.
The new Ealing site, the fifth former Laurel site bought by JD Wetherspoon, opens in early October. Agent for the sale of Laurel venues in administration is Colliers CRE.
