Pub restaurant the Pheasant in Keyston, Cambridgeshire, is runner-up in the finals of Gordon Ramsay's F Word's Best Local Restaurant competition.

The Pheasant in Keyston, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, battled it out against Lasan restaurant in Birmingham in last night's Channel 4 show for the title of The F Word's Best Local Restaurant 2010.

Chef/owner Jay Scrimshaw and second chef Liam Goodwill cooked up a menu of carpaccio of brawn; trio of Dexter beef and tarte tatin which was judged by 50 diners in the F-word restaurant and Gordon Ramsay.

The Pheasant reached final after winning the best local British restaurant category.

They were one of 18 restaurants who made it to the finals of competition following nominations from 10,000 restaurant-goers.
