A dog's life: BrewDog staff can spend a week off with new four-legged friends
BrewDog is giving all staff the right to a week off if they adopt a puppy or an older rescue dog, making it the first UK brewer to do so.

The Scotland-based brewery and pub operator, will also be the first company in the US to offer its workers a week off to look after a new pet.

‘Settle a new dog’

Co-founder James Watt said: “It’s not easy trying to juggle work and settle a new dog into your life, and many members of our crew have four-legged friends at home.

“So we wanted to take the stress out of the situation and let our teams take the time they need to welcome their new puppy or dog into their family.

“We always want to raise the bar when it comes to offering our staff the best possible benefits; at BrewDog we care about two things above all else – people and beer, but we also just really like dogs.”

Name of its first US pub

Earlier this week BrewDog announced the name of its first US pub, the DogTap Columbus, in Canal Winchester, Ohio.

The pub will open in its brewery and US headquarters and will be the brewer’s biggest venue in the world.
